cut-out+cai+4.10 gears!!! ....Yes CAI is better than catback. Anyway I can say Flowmaster.Crapmaster<CAI. I have one and I know...Cai is better! But don’t buy expensive CAI look in for sale area or do it by your self. Just type "homemade" in search and you will fins one excellent setup!!!

If you want an exhaust, Id say get that first because youll be albe to enjoy the acoustics as well as the power every time you drive. It gives your car personality and a presence. Is it better than a CAI for the first mod? Thats debatable, but with both you should see similar gains.

If you wnat to go the cheap route, you can buy an exhaust cut out for less than 50 bucks, then buy an intake and still have money left over. That money could go towards your next set of mods.

I'd say that if you're going to have your car as a daily driver to go with 3.73 gears instead of 4.10's. I'd also do a cut-out instead of a cat-back and CAI. You can find used CAI's in the forsale section for around 125 or maybe even a bit lower. I bought mine new from Lingenfelter Performance for 150 shipped. That's if you want new, but used will give you the same performance. Don't forget the extra cost of having someone setup the gears, if you go that route.

Buy a used set of headers, a CAI, a cutout, a used 52MM throttle body, TB bypass, MAF descreen, and PCM reprogramming--that should set you back $250 and leave you with plenty of cash left over.

(Always amazed at how far people can make a few bucks go.)

All sarcasm aside, I believe the CAI is a good start in the right direction.

cut out is not too loud....it only shakes your interior if you mix it with polyuthrane tranny mount.....

Used CAI, used headers and y pipe, descreen MAF, and a cutout That'll get ya around 45 rwhp. Can't beat that.

Cheapest set of used headers I ever saw was $125. Add about $50 worth of install accessories for $175. Make your own CAI for around $60, then have a cutout (YES ITS LOUD!!) for around $70. That gives you a grand total of $305 with $25 to get the headers welded to your cat

I have only seen ONE set of headers that cheap. Realistically look at closer to $200-$250 for used headers, then stack the rest of the stuff on top. For $330 if your not patient enough to wait for that one sweet header deal, headers + install accessories + welding to cat will probably cover your $330.

Screw paying for the cutout and install for the weld job, just cut off your muffler right after it goes over the axel and is pointing down. If you don't want to do it then an exhaust shop should cut it off for about $5.(Plus by removing the muffler you lose around 30lbs) Do the throttle body bypass also(its free). Get CAI for about $125 used. Now your set back $130 dollars and you have $200 left. Put the rest back for headers or drag radials.
