What do you guys recomend? What about he new Earls alum. stuff that in Summit, and where do I get the real small 8mm bolt head bolts

 

the alumin gaskets work best,i would use arp bolts

 

I have always used Earl's performance gaskets and stage 8 stainless steel header bolts with great results.

I have found none better than ARP bolts

 

Felpro + Stage 8 bolts

No leaks from the beginning, and no retightening bolts every week. Can't beat that.

Exactly what I would recommend.

 

Felpros are garbage. I'm using earl's aluminum with ARP 1" ss bolts. They are the 12 pt 5/16 (8mm) head.

 

I agree exactly with you on the header bolts, but how do you figure the Fel-pros are garbage. Let me guess, that is what people told you on the internet. I have been using fel-pro gaskets for about three years now without any problems.

 

Care to share experiences? Just wondering...

 

First time doing the headers, I threw away the supplied header gasket and bought Fel-Pro 1406. Second time, while doing cam/heads, I bought Fel-Pro 1406.
