Clear the code and see if it returns. An occasional misfire code is not unusual. If it happens frequently and you feel a miss, you likely need a tune-up (plugs and wires, at least). Additives aren't good for much, IMHO.

as long as you use a quality oil, ie. Valvoline, Mobil 1, etc you won't need an oil additive, if you're still getting a miss, shoebox is right, a tune up is your next step

X2 what Shoebox & Maverick said. I use only one additive & that's every oil change I use a bottle of RedLine Fuel Injection cleaner in my gastank ~ my 94 Z has over 180,XXX miles & never a problem ~ same is true for both my LT1 vettes ~ 120,XXX on each. Redline used to be recommended by BMW & GM. Also, you may want to make sure you use good gasoline ~ google "Top Tier Gasoline"

Oil additives are not recommended.

Fuel injector/valve cleaner on the other hand can help. I used to use a Valvoline fuel cleaner, but can't find it anymore. Now I use Techron. I only use it about twice a year though.
