Best fuel injector cleaner

Simple one this am, need opinions on the best gas additive, store-bought fuel injector cleaner. I always thought Chevron's "Tech-ron" was a good choice but for $10.00 a bottle is there sometrhing better?

Thanks as always...

Well there is no magic potion that will make your car faster, well except race fuel But what all these cleaners do is clean your fuel system out, which makes them perform how they should. So if your fuel system is VERY dirty, yes you will see a diffrence, but its more of like a maintence item so you can be sure your fuel system is clean rather then a then a mod. I do it every now and then, who knows what stuff is stired up at the bottom of your fuel tank when you run low on fuel.

WYNN'S MILLENNIUM 2 Fuel System treatment,it is in an aluminium bottle because it eats trough plastic one ,it is the strongest on the market short of a pro treatment at the garage.

One bottle every 5k and change fuel filter every spring will keep your entire system good as new.

I've heard good things with SeaFoam.

Ford factory training recommends and encourages Chevron's "Tech-Ron" at $8 - $10 per bottle. Not the fuel injector cleaner at $3 per bottle.

I've used both with good results.

Seafoam is very popular on this board, I will be picking up a bottle in a few minutes actually... actually it might be a can?

Yep, it works well in the marinas here in Long Beach/Huntington. I'm out here visiting Lombard (near you) for a few weeks on business. I'm glad to hear you guys are keeping up on your cars.

Sounds like another count for SeaFoam. Just be careful of alcohol cleaners which can dry out your rubber seals...

A cleaner called 44K. You can only buy it at a gm dealer. It costs about $20 a can. Its from what ive heard the best stuff out there. Its better than chevron, I've used both. I have never used the other stuff, but I know what i'm using in all my cars. I started getting a little better gas mileage with the 44k whereas the chevron never did $hit. Just my opinion though. -Michael

Thumbs up

I heard if you put sandblasting sand in your tank it will clean it out good. Sandblasting sand because you can get it real fine. We don't wanna mess up any seals or filters, now do we.

That was a joke.

I have used Sea Foam multiple times. Do a search on it and you will find LOTS of others who think very highly of it.

Fuel additives work moderatly well. If you really want ot get them I recommend you get your injectors flushed. There are kits you can buy. The one I used was from snap-on. The can of cleaner plugs directly into the schraeder valve on your fuel rail and that will do a far more effective job of cleaning your injectors than any additive.
