Best flowing California legal headers?

Well I went to the track last weekend, and while I won three out of my four races, I'm not anywhere near running with the big boys. So I want to start working towards full bolton status, and I want to get my headers and Y pipe on there to go with my Magnaflow catback. What is the best header I can get that will still pass DEQ in California? Thanks in advance.

Best would probably be the 1 3/4" single cat SLPs

i am running edelbrockceramic coatd shorties. the install was a pain but everything lined up perfect. i didn't have to do any mods to the headers. they just bolted in. i have also passed CA smog with them on.

Yep, SLPs or TPiS headers will be your best buy. Both are 1 3/4" headers, and both are emissions legal.

i used the edelbrock tes smog legal header's for 3 years and i think they
are a pain in the *** to put oN, i would go with the hooker shorties ceramic coated if possible or do what i did put some 1 3/4 pacesetter long tubes and screw california emissions and pay some one a couple hundred to illegaly smog your car.

Any shortie headers that have a CARB# plate, and air tube hook ups on them will pass California emissions. I myself have JBA's, not a bad system but exspensive.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I like the idea of the SLP headers because SLP makes such quality stuff, but good lord are they expensive!

Are long tubes worth it over 1 3/4 shorties for me to try and pay someone under the table for a smog pass?

Re: Best flowing California legal headers?

make sure you have a couple of shops where you can get it smogged if your getting long tubes. if you don't know of any don't get long tubes go for the shorties instead.
