best exhaust for a 95

i just bought a 95 z28 and its all stock except for a k&n air filter and air foil. i plan on buying an exhaust sometime soon. my question is what is the best cat-back exhaust for the right price? i'm in school so i'm lookin for a good deal. i want 3 inch pipes with dual exhaust. i saw a magnaflow exhaust for 298.00 is that a decent exhaust? the car is mint and only has 23,000 on it, i want to put quality parts on it. is magnaflow quality???

Magnaflow, Hooker and Borla are all awesome...I personally have magnaflow because it was cheap and there was not much difference in pwr between it and the borla system...I'd check ebay I picked mine up for 250ish shipped.

I also have been extremely pleased with the Hooker Cat back exhaust. Check out the prices at www.tbyrne.com

I LOVE my magnaflow but it is a little raspy compared with the others...I paid 250ish shipped...it retails for 460 I believe so if you get it for less than 300 its a superb deal and less than 400 still a good deal.

I agree with the Hooker exhaust but i'm somewhat partial. The Hooker exhaust sounds good and sounds bad *** with long tube headers. You can't beat the price either. If you want to go real cheap you could always do a cutout. Everybody is going to have a different opinion on what is the best sounding exhaust. To each his own.

Your budget won't like this, but BORLA rules. Is the best, sounds the best, performs the best, looks the best. Notice the order

It is a little high....but you asked for opinions!

Good luck!

The other choices are good as well. As far as prices, I would check out www.summitracingonline.com as well. Summit and Jegs
prices are hard to beat.

but i have since ditched it and gone with the slp loudmouth...alls i can say is i love it...i would record it...but im guessin it would blow the mic away seeing how it already took me quite a few tries with the magnaflow to get a decent recording... and the loudmouth is just mean so yea...i think you get the point...

I love my SLP 2 on the left. It has a deep sound to it when cruising but when you hit the gas it sounds mean.

Ditto! I just put this exhaust on my car a few weeks ago and it's awesome. Can't beat the solid construction and easy installation of this exhaust, and it's price is amazing considering it's all stainless steel.
