Just curious to see if anyone is cracking into the 10s with a stock shortblock?

I have just picked up a CC306 and am picking up a pair of fully ported race heads this week. Once tuned I plan on squeezing a 200 shot.

Other mods are basically every other bolt on possible. Trans, Stall, Suspension, Rearend... etc..etc...

I know people have hit 10s with stock short block. I am not sure what their exact mods were though.

I've heard somewhere on this board recently, that a 306 (on a 112 lsa) does not make a good nitrous cam (or was that blower cam).

My friend (threadedtire on here) went 10.80's on his stock shortblock. CC306, GTP stage 2 heads, and a 150 or 175 shot, don't remember I think I could do it too with a healthy shot

Dirk ( aka racingLT1) went 11.0's @124 on a 175 shot with a stock long block. Only internal mod to the motor was 1.6 roller rockers. That run was made in 85 degree weather in July. His car will definately run 10's in the fall air. So if someone has a cam 10's shouldn't be a problem.
