i am looking to buy a cat back exhaust for my 1993 z28, i like the slp loudmouth, but i cant find the lt1 conversion kit (slp discontinued it), so any ideas for which cat back system should i buy, i want it to sound mean even at lo rpm's.

I had the LM1 and loved it. put an ad on the parts wanted to see if anyone has the lt1 kit for it or the complete exhaust. I have it but it was cut and welded so many times I took it off and its just laying here........

Manga flow looks nice for the price. Borla is always popular. Corsa is nice but pricey. Hooker aero chamber perform well and are inexpensive.

What are you looking to get out of it? Perormance, show/quality, sound?

Ps if you just want sound a cut out in the over axle pipe sounds real good IMO with an otherwise stock exhaust.

The LS1 version of the LM1 should fit an LT1 car just fine. Any decent muffler shop should be able to fix any pipe differences for less than $100.

Keep in mind though that if you ever put headers on the car the LM1 will become very loud and obnoxious. I have one on my DD LS car with headers and ORY and I made it about 3 days before the sound drove me nuts. I ended up adding a pair of Moroso Spiralflows just before the exhaust tips to tone it down.

Check out the TSP Rumbler cat back. Sounds pretty nice and is cheap too
