besides check value, where else is a common vacuum leak?

besides check value, where else is a common vacuum leak?

i checked the check value and it was fine, looked like it had been replaced a little while ago. but where else is there a common vacuum leak? my max ac wont work under any kind of acceleration, if that helps

if your check valve isn't cracked or faulty, then the next step would be to check all on the hard vacuum lines for leaks that connect to the check valve. Look here.

Yes, you need to isolate the leak. The next most common leak spot is where the hose to the vacuum tank goes under the battery.

Btw, Shoebox thank you very much for your help with finding out my vacuum leak! I hooked everything up last night and it works!

how do u check the vacuum without a meter? can u just put or thumb over the end and feel if it sucks on it or something?

Use your lungs as a vacuum pump. Inhale and see if it tries to suck your tongue back in the hose. This, you would do to each branch of the hose from the vacuum check valve (except you would have to pull the hose off at the intake manifold and test that section with it plugged on one end).

ok, scratch that, i found a vacuum gauge, so what should the vacuum be reading? will it just be lower than the others? do i check it while idling?

ok update, the line to the vacuum container was screwed, it was complete apart and disinegrated at a touch, i hope they sell these at auto zone
