Bent K-member.
Bent K-member.
My kmember is bent. The collision shop said its not bad so i could probably take it off and straighten it my self. I also have some other bent stuff on the passanger side that i am replacing. I havent looked at my kmember much yet but do you need to take off the a arms to get it off? once i get it off, how can i straighten it? My uncle said i could use a hammer if its barely bent or i could get it red hot and make it straitht.
BTW, my hood, when closed, doesnt align correctly. Could straightening the kmember fix this problem?

Re: Bent K-member.
I wouldn't mess around trying to straighten a bent K-member. Do yourself a favor and just get a new BMR K-member:

Re: Bent K-member.
And if you heat it, you'll destroy the integrity of the metal unless it's done right.
I think Josh-'97 WS6 has the right idea. You might want to pick up sub frame connectors too. could help with the hood problem if thats what caused it
