beehive spring lift?

i have 918 springs, they are rated to .600 lift. does that mean that thats the cutoff and i could run a cam with .595 lift and be ok or am i supposed to give a little more room for error? thanks dave

Re: beehive spring lift?

Yes! Dave, consider .600" a safe max. A spring/cam mfr. with at least half a brain, will designate/rate a max lift figure with a safe allowance to prevent 'coil bind' built/figured in.
