i havent heard any problems with bbk tb unlike holley tb blades sticking.i dunno how a 58mm tb would lose power on a stock motor, the more air going into the engine the more power but if it is a stock enging the question is how much air do u actually need and a 52 would be fine for stock

I haven't had any problems with my BBK 58MM TB. Been on the car almost 3 years.

My BBK whistles badly. I've heard you can help help it by de-burring the IAC passages, but haven't tried it. I have a good friend with one and his whistles as well, though not nearly as badly as mine. He worked his IAC passages a little.

I have a BBK 52mm TB, and it stuck a little bit near idle until i did some work on it. Mine also whistled for a couple of minutes after a cold start up, but went away after a few minutes.

I was worried because the BBK's our much less expensive than the others....So don't go with the Holley brand????? That was what I was going to do until I read this post about them sticking. Can anyone verify this is a common problem with the Holley's or just in a few of them??

Holleys do generally have that problem. I used to have a BBK and it did the same sticking thing. Thats when I started building my own
