Battery positive terminal cable
Battery positive terminal cable
well ive been having some bad luck w/ this thing and the screw is all stripped out, so i gotta get another one... well i went to autozone but the one they sold me (2 gauge) looks nothing like what im gonna replace, it's only got a thick and a thin cable coming off, the old one has 3 cables coming out...
where can i get a temp replacement screw (and how can i get it off the cable) and who sells the real cable?

GM Parts Direct has the cable you need. Part number 12157373, $31.99 shipped.
But if the screw is stripped, then either the battery terminal (probably the battery itself) needs to be replaced, or the screw needs to be replaced, NOT the cable. (The screw -with a bit of pushing -pops right out of the cable harness.
The screws can be bought anywhere that sells car batterys. Tell them you need the screw that holds the cable onto the side mount post.
I'm pretty sure this has already been covered for you in the last day or two.

help someone!
ok this morning i got up early to mess w/ it and it i tried using a standard bolt, and i got some juice out and tried turning it over well after about 5-7 seconds of hearing it trying to turn over i stopped, tried to use the one i just took out, and i get no power... my radio has power, i can turn on my lights, but the gauge doesnt move when i turn it to the on possision.
so i tried getting my moms camery over to jump it, still same thing i tried the battery charger, same thing...
i got the new bolt and it still is doing this same stuff.
what did i do wrong? why doesnt the starter have power, why doesnt my gauge register power? (battery and starter are 2 months old w/ a 1 year warrenty)
my battery charger says the battery is about 13 volts
im supposed to go on vaccation friday night and would like the car to be running

If your headlights stay good and bright and when you turn they key to ON, you don't get any dash lights, you probably have an ignition switch problem. Try flicking the key back and forth a few times and see if anything changes.
If your headlights go dim or out when you turn the key to ON, you have a poor connection.

i get dash lights when i turn on the lights... but the only thing that happens when i turn the key to on, is the radio turns on. i turn it to the "starting" posision the radio turns off but nothing turns on
still got lights...
Edit, the volt sensor doesnt move when i rotate the key, it stays at the off possion

if it helps u diagnose for me, for the last 2 weeks or so every once in a while the starting would be delayed a 1/4 second or so...
i would turn the key all the way to start the starter but nothing would happen for a moment... if that helps let me know
