Bad Power Loss From Mid To Almost All Of Top End???

What will cause a Bad Power Loss From Mid To Almost All Of Top End???

i have a 1994 z28 A4. i was racing my buddies 2002 mustang gt lastnight. from the wholeSshot i pulled 2 cars before he knew what happend. then alof a suddend he is at my door and then he hits a gear and pulls on me a little to over come me and beat me by a half car. its a bit embarrasing but hey i have goin on 100,000 miles but it shouldnt matter. i should have smoked him . BUT MOST IMPORTANT WHAT CAN I DO TO GET UP TO SPEED AND BEAT HIM .WHAT WILL HELP MID TO TOP END POWER cause i cant loose to a stock gt its to embarrasing.....HELP ME PLEASE.....i have new plugs and wires the wires are cheap 7mm but that chouldnt matter i have flowmaster exaust with no cats but its all stock for now i no it has a lot more cause there is no way that i should have lost that race i mean everyone knows that a stock z28 has a lot more power than a stock gt i need help bad ....

Sorry to say it but that sounds about right for the mods done to your car. I've raced many 98+ stangs and the 02 are much much quicker than the 98's I have demolished Time for mods

Get a base line dyno and see where the car stands before you go nuts. It will help you see your progress.

from the way i pulled from him off the line he should have never caught me i mean there is no way it shouldnt have even been close....what mods should i get ???? i mean i no what i want but what will help me the most????

thats what i was thinkin my o2 sensors are bad and it is runnin way to rich and my small spark plugg wire might not help neither but those things are what i have in mind on what im gonna get....all suggestions will be appreciated thanks for the advice

You could always try and have someone scan the car and let us look at the logs of the sensor activity. This could tell you where you may have a weakness in the system.
