Bad gas mileage+real bad studder=o2 prob??
Bad gas mileage+real bad studder=o2 prob??
Is this an o2 problem? I got the 227/233 cam put in and ran it with stock tune for about a week. It was running decent but not great. I had madwolf do the tune and all of the sudden the car started running terrible. It all starts at about 50 mph. I just gets a real bad studder/shake and you can hear it popping through the exhaust and when you give it more gas it just gets worse. On the last tank of gas I got 150 miles. It has gotten to the point where I DON'T even wanna drive it right now. Actually I can't afford to pay the 2.20 pg for 93 octane. I am getting slp headers put on within a week and I am going to have them put 2 new o2 sensors. Does it sound like I HAVE other probs? I scanned it with my auto x-ray and it said that a prior code was faulty o2 sensor but right now it has the ses light on and it says there are no codes found. I don't get that part because I cleared the codes and it spit another one.
oh and it is not the opti because it has 200 miles on it.
thanks

O2's are $37 each from Jason Cromer. I had the same problem, cept I had new O2s installed. I guess the coating on my headers contaminated them, because when I replaced them, it's been running fine ever since.
Dont wanna thread jack, but i paid $1.85 for 93 here in TX about a week ago
.
Does it do it at WOT? If not then DEFINATELY your o2s. Your MAF may be dirty. You can go to O'Reilly and they might let you try out a MAF and see if it fixes the problem (they let me).
Doubt its a burned wire.
