Bad fuel pump?
My 1996 Camaro began taking a little longer to start when cold. Then twice after it was hot after driving and after letting it sit a short period it started, but would not stay running. After sitting a long while it would staying running when started. I checked the fuel pressure and it was 20psi with the key on and 27psi when running. I changed the fuel pressure regulator but no change, same numbers. I am now thinking that the fuel pump must be bad. Anyone have an idea on how to further verify this before I start? Oh, I also replaced the fuel filter.

Other than a problem fuel line, which you should be able to check very easily, all the other causes are going to be at or near the pump.

The pressure stays solid at 27psi after I shut the car off, I'm going to assume from that I don't have a leaky injector(s) or bad fuel line?

The pump should be able to supply at least 41psi at idle, with the vacuum compensation line off. It should also be capable of supplying that pressure at WOT/max engine load. If the best it can do is 27psi, its not supplying adequate fuel. Maybe obvious, but have you changed the fuel filter?
