bad fuel milage?

I have read many threads on here with people getting about 17-18 mpg or about 200 - almost 300 miles per tank. I get about 10- 11mpg and at most 150 miles almost emptying the tank. I have changed plugs, wires, msd coil, optispark, fuel filter, fuel pump and icm, also o2's and still no change. Car just has few bolt-ons
see sig. any ideas why mpg are so low.

I get about 190 to the tank with my h/c 383. If i go WOT more then once per tank that drops down about 20 miles

Re: bad fuel milage?

I seriously dont know how you guys get that kind of mileage out of them.

My car gets 12. And it is in absolutly perfect mechanical condition. Very low miles, very well maintained. Runs great. Still is pulling teeth to get a 13 MPG tankful out of it though. This is entirely city driving though.

Highway, I get 24-25ish and I get into it a little bit on the occasional road trips to camp and back.

I blame it on all the freakin hills, and stop signs, in Pittsburgh.

I've been getting about 350 to the tank, 60/40 highway city... That's my latest anyway... Car in sig.

Don't know how you could be getting that bad of mileage, unless you're WOT stoplight to stolight, which it doesn't sound like you are.

No ones vehicles around here ever come CLOSE to the ratings because of all the hills, stop signs, traffic, and ****.

In Vancouver, for all city driving I get very bad milage. I'm fairly heavy on the foot, but nothing insane... It's all hills here, a lot of lights and my trips are always very short.

I live in Norwalk Ct. not many hills where I live, most of my driveing is around town. I babied it for 1 tankful and got 150 mi. and then filled tank again and it took 13.5 gallons which is about 11 mpg for those of us that don't know math.
My scanmaster shows no codes and I don't know of any exhaust leaks.

roughly 280 per tank, auto, 2.73 gears. 70/30, highway mostly. Its about 17 city and 22-ish highway. I was stoked when I got 300 in one tank.
