Bada@@ 383, thanks lloyd and ion (trickflow head flow #'s)

So it took me about 4 months to get my 383, mainly in part because i left the country for 2 months.

when i started my planning for a 383, i switched the head choice back and forth while talking to lloyd, i settled for the Trickflow heads after lloyd said they would be awesome so i sent them over to him and lloyd ported them with 2.08/1.6 valves, Amazing port job when the shop received them. They knew they weren't going to be able to match that port job. Lloyd also ported my lt4 intake manifold and did a fully custom cam for me.

Trickflow heads flowed

.2 144/107
.3 193/144
.4 246/179
.5 278/201
.6 292/214
.650 293/218

those were numbers lloyd sent to me.

Lloyd helped me choose 90% of the parts i needed for my 383 and i can definitley say that everyone that listens to lloyd and takes his advice will have a bad *** setup.

Ion set me up with the tune, and so far it is working very well, i know a dyno tune will definitely help improve the cars performance so i can't wait for that.

Just wanted to thank both of these guys and anyone else that helped me out for everything, i love my setup and i can't wait to break it in so i can start ripping on it big time.

thanks again
Zeeshan

also, everytime i had a problem, i probably called lloyd about 200 times and sent him about 200 emails, he never once didn't reply or didn't try his best to help me out, lloyd is definitely an awesome guy to get advice from.

After driving around for the last hour, i just realized that with the long tube headers, y pipe into 1 cat and out to the flowmaster muffler, the exhaust is way too loud, im definitely going to get pulled over and get f'd, thats what i get for having a beast of a car.

definite to those guys.

The cam is a freaking beast.

I am glad that you finally got the car running.

That car should really fly and put down some good #'s with the dyno tune.

The TFS heads can work OK on a 350 if they re done different than these TFS heads.

These have 2.08/1.625 valves and a large port that would work well on a high RPM 350 in a car with lots of gear and stall but you would be a lil low on compression. They are probably not the best choice for most of the N/A 350's that people are building. They would be great for boosted set ups though.

Some LT1 heads will usually be the best bet on a 350 with the typical set up (6600 RPM or less, 3500 lbs or more, streetable gear and stall, etc). I am sure they would make good HP on alot of engines but the car needs to be set up to RPM. The car would just accelerate a lil slower compared to some LT1 heads.

and lloyd, im loving this setup man, still a few things to do to make it more solid and get the most out of it, but im enjoying every push of the gas pedal so far, and getting a lot of props on the sound of the cam.

Re: Bad 383, thanks lloyd and ion (trickflow head flow #'s)

I can't stress enough to get some "hands on" tunin g and the car will be even more drivable than it is now, idle smoother, more mid range power and more top end power. The cam is not really "that" radical to what others are running and most people would expect alot more duration for a 383 that sounds and runs like that.

Once you dyno the car, just realize that the cam we used only has a low to mid 230 duration (not much for a 6500 RPM 383) and we could have went even larger and made more "peak" power but the cam we designed has alot more low and mid range TQ so the car will end up accelerating faster than similar set ups with a mid to high 240 duration.

The car should really fly once you get the bugs worked out and the tuning dialed in.
