Backwards MAF

I just started to clean my MAF and noticed that the arrow was pointing towards the filter and away from the motor!? I hope i'm not making myself look like a jackass but isnt the arrow supposed to go with the airflow from the filter into the motor?

The honeycomb section always goes toward the filter and the plug on the maf points counter-clockwise.

You are correct. THe arrow shows the direction of the airflow and should be pointing toward the throttlebody.

The one that should be in there unless you destoryed your maf calibration by 'porting' it.
