Backfiring throught intake

Backfiring throught intake

My car only does this when it is warm and I give it a shot of gas and then another shot getting ready to do a burnout.It never does it any other time!!!Any thoughts would be apperiated.

Optispark. Also check plug wires, coil and coil wire. I had a problem where it would backfire out the intake and lose all power under WOT. I replaced the opti and found that the coil wire was bad. Once all that was replaced the problem went away.

I hope its not that because they are $599 in Canada! What I was thinking was the IAC because I have a problem with idleing to hight when you start the car and when I stop at a stop sign.I have already repltaced the center head gasket because it was leeking oil so it's no a vacume leek. It only does this at low idle!!not at WOT. Any more thoughts?

order them from cromer. $260 ish i think US, + shipping + brokerage fees = Way cheaper than 600 ish.

Which wire are you referring to? Coil to Opti cable?
