So I was looking at the pics on shoebox's website when I thought to myself: that doesnt even look like the back of my opti. Then it occured to me that the motor in my car is out of a 94 z28 so it doesnt have the dowel pin driven opti. So we're back to thinking bent valve.

 

is he right?

 

compression test or leak down test will show a bent valve for sure.
