Back from Track, is my time about right?

My best pass of the day was 12.87 @116.05 mph, with a pathetic 2.25 60'.

I was using regular radial tires, and the car is full weight, even with spare tire and jack.

What do you guys think with my mods listed in my sig?

The lack of traction is skewing the results. The mph indicates you are putting down some power. You need to get the traction issue squared away.

The mph is good the time is not so good due to traction. You need some better tires maybe dr's and some suspension work. I would do upgraded control arms and control arm relocation brackets along with better rubber and you should be in the 11's.

are you still on the stock shortblock?

the 60fts need work, they will really help out the times. If you invested in a clutch, rearend, susupsion, slicks n skinnies you would have a very large differece in them. The mph is very good, your are making quite a bit of power.

Is this a streetcar? weekend/race?

what you would like it to run? I am just fulll of questions

Yeah I'm still using the original short block, about 150,000 miles on it now and no signs of any blow by or oil consumption. I've had the blower on it for about 4 years. I'm surprised it held up this long, who sais LT1s aren't durable!

Suspension and rear end is stock. I do have a SPEC stage 2+ clutch, no slipping at all, but I find it hard to ride the clutch out of the hole, I either bog the motor, or light up the tires. I'm definately going to get a pair of drag radials for the next trip to the track.

The car isn't my daily driver, but it's definately a street car, a/c and all.

I would like to see 11.80 and maybe 119/120 mph

pretty weak for a h/c/blower car IMO. Is it tuned?

That's what I was thinking. That combo should be in the 120+ MPH range.

The problem could also be with your shifting. Nothing like a granny shift to drop a couple MPH off your times.

Like everyone else said. MPH is high, time is not as good. That MPH you should be low 12's easy

Mind you the heads, cam and blower are all pretty mild. The car is full weight too. With the addition of heads and cam, I gained 5mph.

It's tuned, but apparently not that great.

I don't powershift, so maybe that would help, I'm going back with drag radials and see what happens. I'm worried about the stock rear end holding up though.

Serious traction issues, you will be LOW 12's at least.

I'm a heads/cam car that's full weight too and I have 4mph on you. There's something costing you power somewhere in the combo. A 5 mph gain from heads/cam leads me to believe the heads are holding it back significantly.

You should be around 121-123mph IMO.

a re-tune, Dr's with a 1.8-1.9x 60ft, powershifting, and a 100-150 diet should net the high 11's your looking for.

The re tune and diet should bring up the mph, the powershifting and dr's will lower the et.
