Back in the car!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, it seems like it's been forever but the engine and tranny are back in the car. I'm sure some of you guys know how excited I am. My friend Phillip and I worked all day today and aside from some small odds and ends that need tying up it's nearly ready to run. I installed a new BMR torque arm relocation and I am very pleased with the fit and finish. I would just like to say that I am very pleased with Thunder Racing helping me out of a bind. Todd took care of my situation as if it were his own. I would also like to say that I was very impressed with the tune and quick return of my pcm from Bryan@pcmforless. Wish I had some pics for you guys while the engine was out of the car but to be perfectly honest I didn't even get any for myself. She sure is purdy tho. Anyway I just figured I share, I don't know if anyone cares but I will certainly be glad to hear it run this week.

Later, guys,
Vicious

What kind of work did you have done to the motor?

congrats man!! I know the feeling of excitement. Last month I dropped a motor into my impala ss. Got it running for 5 minutes dropped the oil filter to find anti-freeze in my oil. I just finished getting everything back together last night. Should be ready to start again tonight. What stinks is that when I did the cam and everything while the motor was out I thought about replacing the head gaskets but figured they were ok. I was dead wrong! Now I am scared to start it up

congrats again and good luck!
Brandon

I busted a piston and was getting quite a bit of blow by. I replaced the piston and rings and gave her some new bearings. I also gave it the cam in the sig with a new timing set and electric water pump. I bought a new throttle body and injectors and had a tune done on the pcm.

UPDATE... It's running and seems to be fairly happy. I think I prolly have a few bugs to work out but overall I'm very pleased.
