I called 1800autozone and they told me none of their distributors include it, which makes it useless to me. I cancelled my order. You would have to spend 250 for a complete one from them. I'll just get a delco one. I'm fairly close to akron anyways.

 

autozone parts suck, get a Borg Warner or AC delco

 

Everyone hopes (really we do) that InjectedSS is right about the cap and rotor being included with the opti from autozone.
Sadly he is the only one who has gotten one that I know of.
Maybe we will get lucky and they will do this but I am not holding my breath.

 

I checked at my local AZ today as well (Vancouver, WA) and I'm got the same as everyone else. Opened up the box and no cap or rotor.

 

Well I was kind of pissed, because 130 is a ripoff if theres no cap and rotor. Whats the point of buying it? Oh well.

You fail to see that this thread isn't about YOU and what YOU got. It's about what WE as average consumers should expect to get when we order #30-1833 from Autozone. I be pissed if someone (not you) told me to get that pn because they heard it was the complete set. Then I ordered it and waited a week for it to come in, opened the box and discovered it was missing parts. I'd be back at AZ asking where my cap/rotor went and making a fool of myself in the process. We are trying to research a very good point that you brought to light and make sure it's repeatable in other areas of the country.

You gave no advice. You just told us what you got at a parts store. I got a Mobil 1 filter for $4.45 the other day. Unheard of in my region. I didn't blab about it and then flame anyone who couldn't find it for the same price.

While most of your flames have included something like this. I've yet to see YOU post a timeslip. You sig doesn't indicate any mods or times that you've run. I saw one reference to running consistent low 10's come out of you. Could you please post a rundown of your setup and a timeslip? I'm sure we'd all be interested in learning how you did it.

You got a mispackaged item and suddenly you are the authority on how a parts store runs. Nevermind that some of us here have either WORKED at a parts store or have close friends who do (I fall into the latter category)

One thing I wondered about two when you posted pics of the "second" opti you bought. It looks like you took the box home to take pictures of it. Wouldn't it have made sense to put BOTH Optis next to eachother and take a pic of BOTH so that people wouldn't assume you were bsing?

(i know you wouldnt know anything about optis going out so soon having a car that prolly runs 16's and all ) so it was perfect timing so this way i could order in ANOTHER opti thru the WARRANTY (this way i fix my car and get to see IF it was just a mistake after all) and HOLY FU*KIN SH*T what did i get in the box AGAIN... NO COULDNT BE THE OPTI, CAP, and ROTOR!!!
