No one currently makes a replacement A4 shifter that will drop right in and work with the factory console. Any 4 speed auto shifter should work (mechanically speaking), but it will have to be a custom installation for any electronics and looks.

I have a Hurst Promatic in my car. I had to use a manual console, and I had to trim the inside out about a inch to make it fit, but it is a full ratchet setup for my reverse manual valve body, and it looks like a 6 speed setup.
