Automatic door locks are not operational

Ok, my automatic door locks are not functioning anymore. When i push down on the switch to lock the doors nothing happens. And when i push up on the button(s) to unlock the doors they both work. And it is off and on. So far they are not working at all right now.

What could be the problem?

Is it the same with both switches? Does it work ok with the remote (assuming you have one). Probably the switch.

Its extremelly weird. When i do push down on both buttons to lock the doors nothing works. And some days it does work.

So a few minutes ago i went out and disconnected both switches and reconnected them and now they both work again. I guess there must be a loose wire somewhere considering they are both connected together.

Also, i dont have a remote door lock/unlock but i received my car about a month ago and it only had the one set of keys.
The car also came with documentation telling codes for the Ignition key, trunk key, and VATS key.

What would the VATS key be?

Thanks

I don't think anything is wrong with your car. I think it might just be a security issue. The same thing happens with my car. After i leave the car out with the t-tops off and the windows down in my driveway for an extended period of time, i come out of my house and reach in and hit the unlock switch, but it doesn't work. I think its somehow connected to a timer, just like my radio is. I don't think anything is wrong with your car.
