When I first came to this awesome forum I asked what kinda 1/4 mile times a stock Auto 1993 Trans Am would run, and people said very low 14s or een 13.9x if I'm lucky.. but looking at peoples signatures, I see ALOT of A4 Z28s and T/As with headers, cam, PCM for less chips, exhaust, offroad pipes, etc. and they only run like 13.6 or so.

Do these cars not respond well to mods, or is low 14s/high 13s stock on an auto 93 T/A really impossible?

 

you will typically see low 14's or even high 13's with a stock auto trans am. i would say it can be a number of things. the person could have a traction problem.....etc. i would say it is very easy for mid to high 13's with a few minor bolt on's to an auto LT1 T/A. not everyone with the same mods are going to run the same times. i would think that most cars are different in the way they run.
