auto shifter?

can i put on a different shift *** with an automatic?

I know for a fact you can put the Firebird "T" handle shifter on ours but I don't believe there are any others out there. Unless they just came out. Also I don't think any shifters on the market can bolt up to our tranny's either.

thanks, i think a hurst shift *** would look real cool but i guess it wont happen

Thought the exact same thing. Got shot down the same way. Doesn't hurt to check into it though, things might have changed since I last looked.

There are plenty of aftermarket shift ***** and shifters that will work in LT1 automatic cars.

Isn't your tranny a 700R4 not the 4L60E? So that's why you can get the other shifter on? Also Milesf how did your shifter go on? How did you make it so you could push in the button to switch gears?

His 93 has a 4L60... without the "E" for electronic. I've never understood the difference between a shifter hookup for 700R4's and why it is any different than a 4L60E.

I didn't know if it was any different. I just heard it was. Never actually seen the two together in person to compare.

I would love to have a ratchet shifter (use to have a Quicksilver B&M in my old car) with my '94.
