auto to manual swap

i have been considering this swap in my 1994 Z-28. i have researched it a bit, i got some info off a web site provided by year one on how to do the swap and what i would need. but i am a little nervous about ripping apart the car, getting half way through the swap and finding out that it was a lot harder than i thought/was told and not really worth the hassle.

what is everyone's opinion about this.

Just put the manual in. Even if its a pain in the *** when all is said and done it will be worth it. I had 3 camaros 94,95,and my recent 97. My 97 has the 6 speed and its so much better then my other two camaros. More fun and feels much faster.

Finished my A4 to T56 swap a week ago on my '97 Z28 and love it. Just take your time and don't rush anything....It's worth it in the end!!!

if you do the swap let me know how it goes and how you like it. I've slowly been growing the urge to swap to a t56, my car is just for me to play, not a drag car, so Im not worried about et's. wont sell it b/c its the 1st car i've owned, worked hard for it. but sometimes when Im driving around, I have my hand on the shifter wishing i could rip thru the gears, but of course i can't. I know my A4 is starting to slip its 2-3 shifts a bit. so when it goes I'm thinking about the t-56 swap.

i thought i was the only one that did that. i have gotten to the point where i know exactly when the car is gonna shift with any amount of throttle, and i push the button.

You can get a decent LT1Dave rebuild for $850 or so for your A4. Or get a T56 conversion setup for ~$1500.

selling my t-56 setup

I'm in the process of building my car into an auto froom a t-56. I am sellin the whole package with a used centerforce clutch, flywheel, hurst shifter, stock shifter, slave cylinder, the whole nine yards. I'll even include new synchro rings( my mechanic told me I will need them eventually). It's out of my 94 Z28. If you need anymore info e-mail me at zmanlt1@aol.com . If I'm leaving something out of this package that you think should be included let me know. I'm asking 1200 plus shipping, or b/o.
