ATTN: Shoebox/others, Line lock Question.

Hey man, I was directed to you for some brake line/fitting sizes.
Im about to install a Hurst Roll Control line lock on my 96 Z28.

What size are the fittings that go into the master cylinder and into the ABS unit?
Also... what size line should I run?

Anything else I should know for this install? never messed with brakes much more than pads and rotors before.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help you or anyone else can give.

Why wouldnt the hurst line lock be useable?
All it is... is a solenoid that holds pressure in the brake lines. My auto teacher said it would work as long as I installed it between the ABS unit and the master cylinder.

Most line locks can be used...the differences between most are very small...mostly from an appearance standpoint and the name on it.

It would be more cost effective to purchase a kit over trying to put together the line lock itself...Some think it is less expensive to build one themselves...if one added up the actual costs, most would find they are spending quite a bit of time finding the parts, and building them.

there is a discussion located here

Hope this helps.

Hey do you have to use the switch that comes with the line lock or can you use a better looking switch?

You can always use a different switch man, they all do the same thing.
