Thumbs up art carr transmission is installed!

Wow, it is a totally different car. I can't believe what a difference this transmission made. 2 thumbs up to the guys at Art Carr for the smokin deal I got, and all the questions that they put up with. I couldn't have asked for a better transmission. This truly is top of the line

The details:

TH700R4 competition, rated at 700+ horsepower
full manual valvebody
9.5" billet aluminum torque converter
nothing but the best internal parts

Compared to my injured stock transmission, there is a world of difference. Anyone looking for a solid transmission, art carr gets my vote.

Isn't George Baxter using one of their trannies? How much did it cost you?

yes George Baxter I believe is using the same one I got, running low 10's in the convertible.

It ran me almost $2300 shipped all said and done.

I'm running one... well, kind of. I bought a big 1000 hp kit from them for $1000 for just the parts. My tranny shop buds looked at it, discarded several of the parts for better stuff, and used pretty much only the "custom machined" stuff. So far so good but I have yet to put some real power to it. I've got too many darn projects but I'm hoping to be able to test the tranny to its potential in about six months or so. Anyway, so far I'm happy with it and it has done well with the measly ~425hp I have now

Didn't Baxter run a 9.04?
What kind of stall did you go with? How about you, Brent?

Art Carr definitely has some good parts. I had on of their converters in my old Formula it worked very well.

I also have one of their rebuild kits in my Camaro now, been in for about 7 months now and so far no problems.

Vigilante 2800. While the car should be very fast, it is still primarily a street car with a trip once or twice a year to the track. The 2800 is probably going to be too low for the track but it is what I wanted for the street since that is where I spend most of my time anyway
