ARP Head bolts question

I know the ARP bolts have the washer which needs to go on. The washer is indented on one side. Which way does the indention go? Should the indention be facing the nut or be facing the block?

By indented do you mean a chamfer on the inside diameter of the washer? Look at the underside of the bolt head. Is there a radius on the underside of the head to shank, on the bolt?

Yes there is a chamfer on the inside diameter. I though that would face the bolt head but some of the ones I got have it reversed...bought them used. So I was confused.

Chamfer needs to mate with the radius under the head of the bolt. The last guy probably didn't pay attention.
