ARP head bolts and LT1 torque specs

What torque specs would you use for LT1 heads with ARP bolts? The ARP's are much harder bolts so they wouldn't stretch the same as GM stock, thus the xxft/lb followed by an additional xx degrees may not be accurate. Does that make sense?

What are some other SBC torque specs that dont use additional degrees, just plain ft/lbs?

I torqued mine to I think 80 foot pounds, and I never had any problems. The stock bolts are torque to yeild, and the ARP's arent, so you dont have to do any addition turning once they are torqued down.

So they will send specs with the bolts? Cool, they are already on their way then.

Not every year LT1 has TTY head bolts. In FACT I have used mine now 5 times, not counting the original factory installation, which would make it 6. Car is my daily driver once again and runs great.

So far as I recall only 96+ got TTY, but I dont know for sure.

I have the same questions. What tq values do you guys use on each pass for these arp bolts and with what lubricant?

the table arp gives is slightly confusing!
