Arizona Speed and Marine

Arizona Speed and Marine
I just wanted to comment about my recent purchase. I ordered headers from AS&M on June 17th and was told that they were back ordered and would be shipping in 2-3 weeks. Called them back in 3 weeks and was told 2 more weeks. Called them back again and same story. One time they told me they just got the new shipment in and they were sending them out to be dipped and I would get them in 2 weeks. Called them back in 2 weeks and they told me they were expecting them in any day. It's now the end of August and when I called today they promised me they were all done and would be shipped out tomorrow or Friday, so we'll see. The only reason I'm putting up with this crap is because of all the good feedback I see on them, I just hope their worth it because at this point I would not recommend them to anybody. I just wish 2 months ago they told me it would be an 8-10 week lead time instead of just stringing me along. Just wanted to vent a little

That's about the same story I got when I bought mine a year and a half ago. I finally got them and yes it is worth the wait AS&M is notoriously slow on shipping but if you are in no hurry it's worth it.

Re: Arizona Speed and Marine
Honestly, I suggest buying them used if at all possible. Theyre great headers but many people, along with myself, have had problems with AS&M's shipping. They sent some parts COD to me when I paid for them up front. If you can find some headers in good condition, go with them. I bought my headers used and couldnt be happier.

Curious: Do you have single cat or dual cats?
Didn't know AS&M offered Dual Cat headers.
Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with my SLP dual-cats (even if they do look wierd).
They are less expensive than the AS&Ms and made of Stainless Steel, where I understand AS&Ms are not.
I do here very good things about AS&M products though.

i ordered my as&m through tbyrne or thunderracing.only took a couple weeks.did u order them through as&m?i would never order anything direct from a company,if your ordering through a middleman(thunderracing) then they will get involved so your not alone.im pleased with the headers but mine will be for sale this winter since i keep my car under 5k a year now and dont need emissions.

bubba,
I ordered the AS&M headers with the Random Tech dual cat y-pipe.
MRZ28,
That is an awesome deal. But I already got the Random Tech Y-pipe in a month ago and not sure if I would be able to return it. I wish I new sooner.

you don't have to go through emissions if you drive less than 5k a yr? What state? I live in CT.

Re: Arizona Speed and Marine
Yah, that's probably what I would have done, but most likely gone with Lts, but just afraid the emissions cops would get me here in Oregon for moving the cats.
Probably could have gotten away with it, but if they decided to be butts about it, I'd have suffered.
That's why I went with the SLP Dual-Cats. I had them coated at an aftermarket outfit to get a better do.
Also, those that claim certain coatings are nice and shiny. Well, I guess if you have really skinny arms and are a contortionist, you can keep them looking spiffy, but it looks like too much sweat and blood for me.
