arcing wire question
arcing wire question
I put taylor wires in and it seems that my car shakes a little, the same way before it did when I had the stock wires what does an arcing wire feel like. This is what I noticed on the high way doing about 55mph pulls a little when it shakes what do you think. Ever since the headers I cant seem to get it running right.

I have the same problem with Taylor Pro wires I by new plugs from summit and installed then the car shakes more. When I check all the cylinders one was missing, so I put the old cable in that cylinder and the problem was fixed.
One of the new cables was defective

take out the cables one at the time with then engine running and if the car start to miss more that cylinder its ok ... In my car the cylinder missing was # 5
Also I have hookers headers and the are to close to the headers.

I had the same problem after I did my headers. Chances are that...
1 Burned a wire, many people think they are fine and don't check this first for some reason.
2 Getting knock retard because of the exhaust, this was my problem along with 1 toasted wire. Knock won't really show up until you are driving and is hard to check to see if you have any. You will need a scanner or a laptop with the correct cable and software to check this.
If you are getting knock retard, then the LT4 knock module will/should help filter out the sounds causing it. I have one for sale on ebay right now and I explained what it does to the best of my ability on the page.

3 You o2 sensors are dead or dying. Headers with a coating will foul out the sensors after it burns off, requiring replacements. These are very important to how the car runs. Use only the o2 extenders, don't cut into the wires when extending them for the headers. I'm not sure if you had to do this or not...
4 Exhaust leak. Pretty easy to check, make sure your gaskets are sealing to the heads. Tighten down all of the bolts and listen for almost like a whistling noise. You can also put your hand down there and feel for any exhaust gases getting out.
Good luck finding the issue, if you just put in wires make sure they are routed away from the headers with zip-ties or the like. It's the most common problem after installing headers I think.
