Angry Arcing

I got brand new over the valve cover wires and put them in and now I have unsteady rpm's and large arcing across my coil. The rpms at idle arent very very consistant and my engine shakes. I have driven like this for around 500 miles and I dont seem to have any problems. I feel that there may be some power missing though. I have an MSD blaster coil, could this coil be going bad? I used die electric grease on everything, I can measure the resistance, but what is normal? Could the crimping be bad?

Ensure that the coil wire is good, plus going to heavy on the grease can cause problems. The dielectric grease is designed to create an "insulation" for electronic components. If you went o heavy on it, you can compromise the spark getting to the plugs.

i tried a new coil wire, nothing. Its arcing millions of times between the outer coil metal part and the coil itself. Its almost like a constant glow of arcs.

if the car shakes at high load/low rpm then you have a bad wire or wires... if you went with Taylors then thats would be your problem.

Alright, I think I will try MSD's 8.5mm. I just hate having to drill those made for you looms though.

Are you saying that ALL Taylors are bad? If so, there are a TON of people here that have used them and NEVER had a problem
