arching at the spark plugs....any suggestions?

Well, I was in a dark area tonight so I decided to pop my hood and see if there were any sparks. It really wasn't "THAT" bad, but I noticed that all the driver's side plugs are arching right were the wire and plug meet . I couldn't see that far down on the passenger's side so I assume it is the same. I just did all the plugs tonight, except the back passenger's side one. But thats a whole nother story. All the wires were replaced less than 2 months ago. They only arch at the plug. Would Dielectric grease prevent this. I noticed after I put them all on that I had only used the dielectric grease on the opti side of the wires. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

May not solve your problem, but dielectric grease on the inside of the boots is always a good idea.

Changed your thread title, eh.

yeah it was quite a cheasytitle.....so what else would help to lessen this. I know that correcting this would cut back on the little missfires i feel. The car runs so good, I just hate to see something like this gettin in the way of it running perfect.

If you still have your original plugs, check the white ceramic portion for black or gray streaks, they look like cracks. If they have them then they are carbon tracked. If they are carbon tracked then the inside of the boots are carbon tracked. The only way to correct this is to replace both plugs and wires. The spark will follow this "track" instead of sparking off the electrode inside the cylinder if it is the path of least resistance.
On the other hand, if it isn't missing or there aren't any driveability problems, don't fix it if it ain't broke.

yeah...true seems that when I fix it when it ain't broke, afterwards 60% of the time its broke. But like I said above I just changed out both. I'm gonna try the dielectric and see if that helps.
