get some wire spacers (often called wire looms) from pep boys. get the biggest ones they have, space where the two wires are touching each other. are they arcing onto a ground or onto another wire? my msd 8.5mms got a hole rubbed in one from rubbing on the alternator and it arcs like crazy, makes the car run horrible

I've got NGK TR-55's... I looked under the hood last night and all I could see was the white on the plugs, Well they seemed to flicker. ya know what I mean? Seemed like 2 on each side.. My car was running rough last night, Like I'd floor it and it would totally feel like crap then would be WOT... My car was in the body shop all week and I just got it back today, I figured it needed to beat on a lil to clean it out... I dunno but its pissing me off. I want to install my MSD 6a today, wonder if that'll help...

I get a stumble, or what I think is a stumble from like 1200/1300 to about 2000 rpm then its a raped ape again.. I just put my MSD 6a in and no help... I have a new opti as of thanksgiving last year, newer plugs/wires, New ICM with the opti.. only thing old is the coil. I have a new one, would it be worth it to replace it? also what causes the arching? It just started out of nowhere... I'm totally lost and need to find the cure.. Please help
