Anyone Who Has Rebuilt their T56...

I'm gonna need help figuring out what to do with my m6 tranny. Basically it needs to be rebuilt because the synchros are causing difficulty. I will be using a McCleod street twin when I do this and I want this car to eventually be in the 400-450 rwhp mark.

So, I should get stronger tranny parts for the rebuild, right? Also, who does T56 rebuilds? I've been asking around and haven't recieved much help. Does LT1dave do manuals or anyone near or in California? Lastly, how much am I looking at spending roughly

Many people have used D&D Performance. They sell kits, parts, and whole rebuilt transmissions.

Not real close to California, but they rebuild and upgrade...

Thanks nateh Any other suggestions welcome. D&D sounds like a good option but a little pricey, but I assume I have no choice.

as far as upgrades for the T56, they're pretty stock in bone stock form, rated at 450 ft/lbs. There are people putting 500 and 600 hp through them with minimal problems.

i recently did mine. things to upgrade are blockers get the carbon blockers, and steel 3-4 shift fork. alum one sometimes breaks check and replace syncros as needed and you will be better than new. i bought all my parts form flp www.flp2win.com they were reasonably cheaper than d&d.

Hey Tech,

Is this the website, www.westechauto.com That price sounds hard to believe. It looks like that section on the website is down, maybe I'll give em a call. If anyone else has heard of them let me know how they are.
