I run the ported stock TB that these guys offer. It runs just as well as any aftermarket 52mm TB...at a fraction of the cost!

They are claiming a 10 to 15 hp increase from boring the stock throttle body to 52 mm. If that was true, don't you think Chevrolet would have equipped LT1s with 52 mm throttle bodies?
I have no idea what the quality of their workmanship may be, but I am always suspicious of anyone who makes claims of such huge hp gains from simple modifications. Like the Tornado or airfoils or any of a thousand other aftermarket gizmos.
You would be better off spending that money on a set of inexpensive 1.6 rocker arms and LT4 springs.

I think 10-15hp is maybe optimistic on a stock motor, but not unreasonable completely.
Basically if your situatoin can benefit from more air being moved into the motor, you will pick up power.
I think the ther claims are a little misleading...the 40hp and 100hp claims. At first it soudns like the TB give you that much power..then I relaized they must be talking about when you include the mods they list...

Cool

He doesn't mention how he damages the case pulling the shaft out, thats the need for the bearings Most of these Ebay guys are just back yard machinists trying to make a quick buck.

I've gathered most of my parts cam, heads etc and am going to install everything at once. I figure that the larger TB will compliment the pieces I am installing and am curious as to the quality of these TB's verses the aftermarket. In other words I'd hate to send my TB away and end up with a hacked up piece of junk.

TB has worked fine...no 10-15 hp increase...but then no TB really give you that much....

FacelessZ,

How long ago did you get this done? And how long did it take?
I've sent these guys an email but haven't heard back from them yet.

Thanks,
John
