Anyone with a STOCK size crank pulley.

Hey everyone, if there is some one with a stock size crank pulley and if they want to give it away or sell it. I decided as much as a UD pulley gives me power under the curve I want to make sure my battery is fully charged.

I am going to be replacing my alternator and possibly an opti come this winter but im looking to make my electrical system run tip to. Heck my alt is running at 12.7 volts..... at idle and just enough get my car started again.

So if anyone has one please hit me with an email.

blkscreaminmach@hotmail.com I'll get back to you sometime late tonight. thanks

dont you still have the balancer? i thought the balancer had to go on the outside of the underdrive pulley?

Yes it should if he left it off I am afraid to think of what his bearing look like. On these things the crank pulley is the balancer the right way to put on an UD pully(not a great mod anyway) is to sandwich the UD in behind the balancer.

You could buy MBA's alternator pulley. It overdrives the alternator by 10%.

I knew it had to, cause there is a UD on my car that I just finish taking off b4 I put the motor back in the car. Im in the same boat as him, I want my A/C working better and my battery charging better, even though i've never had problems with either. When I took it off it was sandwiched though, so I thought I'd ask.

Yeah I understood what you were saying just wanted to expand on it. The only real benifit I see to UD pullies on the LT1 is the PS being slowed down as I know at least on the b-body it is prone to overheating if you put in some track time. As far as freeing up power they are not worth it even if they didn't hurt AC and alt. performance like they can.

As far as MBA I too heard they went under.
