Anyone see Comp r's not pull past 6000 rpm?

Anyone see Comp r's not pull past 6000 rpm?

i dynoed the other day and my motor would not pull past 6200 and then it would fall flat on it's face. the guy doing the dyno tune was alan futral he said he has seen another car do the same and they switched lifters and the car pull to 6700 no problem.i have the GM846 in a 355.

There are many reasons why that could happen, my first idea would not be lifters...volumeric efficiency problem(restricted exhaust or intake), tune problem, valve float...etc

What springs and installed height do you have? Pressures? Tune? What exhaust?

Help us out with some specs on the motor.

Set the rockers and lock them down a hair past "0" lash... see if it improves.

i have 150lbs on the seat and 395 open so i don't think it's float. they are set at 1/16 of a turn.

That's a LOT of pressure on the open for a hydraulic roller...
