That doesn't sound too bad. A little raspy, but I bet it will kick with headers. I'm probably going to try to snag one off of ebay for my Purple Car.

I also have a documented 26 HP gain from JUST SLP CAI and the Magnaflow catback.

I went from 238HP 275.3TQ to 264HP and 289.9TQ.

The exhaust sounds better once it's warmed up a little. When I recorded that Magnaflow clip, the pipes and muffler were still cold. It sounds even better now that it's got a couple of months of driving on it.

Well, I think I'm pretty much sold mainly due to the price. I can snag one on Ebay for $250. That's a killer deal on a nice looking stainless exhaust system. Can't beat that.

Can someone chime in and let me know if the 15620 is still considered "straight through" ? The picture on e-bay shows the passenger pipe coming out the driver's side and wrapping behind the muffler, which means the muffler is straight through. Pictures from other people's rides show it set up differently, with the passenger pipe coming from the passenger side of the muffler. What's the real story here?

Theres the muffler you see in teh catback, and then another stock replacement muffler for people who dont want a whole catback. I have a good video fo my car with just the muffler, unfortunately have nowhere to host it.

People compliment on it a lot, it has a metallic sound and some people even think the car sounds cammed for some reason. I will be upgrading to the fullcatback hopefully next spring, after I do my headers.

So the whole catback kit (#15620) has the same design as the one in the picture? (straight through with the passenger pipe wrapping around?)

Man, I would reply if I only knew what in the world is a "straight through design", or at least what YOU mean by it...

15620 is NOT the kit in the picture.

15620 is has an outlet on each end of the muffler, basically a crossflow muffler I guess you call it.

The one in the picture is NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

The picture is not right.
If you go here and scroll down to the middle of the page, you will see how it really looks like. So I guess it is a straight through then...

Or is Borla what you call a straight through catback?

Take a system like the SLP 2OTL. It's a straight-through muffler system. Exhaust enters through one pipe on the passenger side via the intermediate pipe, and exits the driver side via 2 exit pipes. The exhaust flows "straight through" the muffler to exit. Borla's catback can be straight through depending on the plate. No blockoff, it's straight out and bypasses the muffler. Full blockoff, it's all straight through the muffler. The SLP Loudmouth is straight through, mainly because the resonator is in the intermediate pipe, and the exit pipes branch off of it instead of being attached to a large muffler.

Now, look at the magnaflow 15620, which appears to be cross-flowing. Exhaust enters through the passenger side via the i-pipe, but the driver's exit pipe comes out the left side of the muffler, while the passenger's pipe comes out the right side of the muffler. The muffler has chambers or diverters inside of it to direct air flow out of both exit pipes. I guess it's arguable that a cross flow design will rob you of HP.

Either way, the catback looks great, I'll just plan on getting a cutout for the track when I make more HP than I am right now. At the present I think it will flow just fine for me, and I really like the way it looks.

OK, thanks for clearing that up. I now understand perfectly what you mean. Yes, it is a crossflow muffler then.

The exhaust looks great and I have been thinking about a cutout, except none of the exhaust shops in my town can work with SS. Ideas?

If they can't work with stainless steel, your only real choice is to drive further and find a shop that can... :\
