Anyone running 1.5 rr's w/ the cc305 cam?
I was wondering if anyone is running this set-up? I have been have spring problems and was going to replace the 1.6's with the 1.5's. I have heard i would loose at the most 10HP whoch isn't any biggie right now. If you are running these 1.5rr's, how is everything doing, will i still get a good lopey sound from the cam?
thanks

I am running the double springs now which I do not like. I am going with the 1.5rr's kuz i have banged the crap out of my self-aligning rr's and getting the non-self aligning set-up with the hardened pushrods. I had to get a vlave job done kuz of the past.. i gues i am going to play it safe :O)
Im running NSA 1.5rr on my cc-305 setup because I had them left over from a 327 buildup. With headers, offroad pipe and borla with the closed plate it was tuff to here that it had a cam in it. After I uncapped the borla you can here it lope pretty good with idle set at 800rpm. Sitting next to a stock Z28 it sounds so much meaner
. I still want to go with 1.6rr later when I have the extra cash, using isky springs from Thunder racing and have had good luck with them. The rockers are cheap pro form's from summit but they clear everything and seem to be holding up well.
The car is so loud now that I have to shut it off when ordering food from Mc.donalds
