anyone rev a cc306 to just 6200-6300rpms

anyone rev a cc306 to just 6200-6300rpms

i know people say it needs 6500+ but i don't want to spin a bearing. And i've heard spinning to 6200 means i won't go any faster than when i had a cc305

You really need to rev it higher to get any gains out of that cam. If you didn't want to rev it high you should have stayed with a smaller can and taken advantage of the greater low end torque in that range.

You need to spin that cam to 6700-6800 to see it's full potential.

Yep, thats why you need to select a cam for your RPM range.

so i'm screwed i'm slower than with the 305....well i'm going to the track tomorrow I'll run once with the 6200, then another time and i'll manually shift at 6500

7000 rpm shifts on stock bottom end for me. . Gives you something to do this spring if it blows.
