Question anyone with MSD 6AL on 94-97

If anyone has a MSD 6AL ignition system on a 94-97 Z, preferably on a 94, i need to know where the best place to install it would be . I've looked around under the hood but can't really find a good place for it. I'm new to the message board, so any and all suggestions and opinions welcome! Thanks in advance .

Mine is in the same place as Blackdog. To be honest with ya, on a stock car thats probably the only place it will fit under the hood. Its tight, but it will mount right aboue the fuse panel.

Hey Scott, did you just push the fuel line back or what? I tried but I didn't know how far I can move them.

Mine is down in front and below the fuse box. My line lock is located where the box in the pic above is located.

Yeah, just push them out of the way.

I wanted a some air flow to keep my digital6 cool, so I mounted mine below the fuse box here bottom of page.

Whoa, I don't know about pushing my fuels line out of the way for my 6AL box. My mechanic guy said he mounts them on the 'firewalls' and they are just fine there, never had any problems. Mine isn't on yet, but if it *is* possible to mount it there by moving the fuel lines over, is that ok? It won't create any risks or problems within time..?

Thumbs up

drop top steve,

I wouldn't sweat moving the fuel lines over a bit. we're only talking an inch. I just drilled another hole for the little retaining bracket. www.z28roc.cz28.com/en2.jpg

I put mine down near the hole where my cai connects to the air filter. You can hardly see it unless you look for it. I just didn't want to drill any holes

Got them off e-bay for $120, notched for the alt. Had to do some machine work to clear the pro mags.
