I'm happier I went with Lloyd every time I read a thread like this. Has anyone ever noticed how consistent Lloyd's numbers are from his LT1 heads? Chris 96 WS6's and llafro's #'s were pretty damn similar, and mine also looked pretty much the same.

.100 66/57
.200 137/108
.300 192/139
.400 239/165
.450 256/177
.500 267/182
.550 274/186
.600 276/189

Ever seen a "bad" Lloyd Elliott head? I haven't

I had a set of GTP stage 2 heads that I sent to Lloyd aroud the end of March/early April. He flowed them "as is" as the GTP II heads, and then after his port work and a new valve job.

Here's the results:

#1- intake before
#2- intake after
#3- exhaust before
#4- exhaust after

lift---1----2----3----4
.1---53---67---20---24
.2--117--135---66---72
.3--174--192--133--157
.4--218--242--158--186
.5--244--268--177--197
.6--254--276--185--201

Before...Intake ruuner = 185cc
After...Intake runner = 202cc
Before...Exhaust runner = 71cc
After...Exhaust runner = 73cc

Combustion Chambers = 53cc

GTP AUC = 93.3
Lloyd AUC = 104.2

Lloyd did an excellent job on these heads. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Thanks again Lloyd

Another thumbs up for Lloyd. I've been to his shop and met him, clean shop, nice flow bench, he's an honest stand-up guy. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again and recommend him to others. He is the "go to guy" in my book for port work.

His user name here is nighttrain66. You can get his contact info from that. He is doing my LT1 heads now. I reseached for about a month before I deceided on him. He told me to expect + or - 275/190 with the 2.00/1.56 valves. More importantly his flow area is a pretty smooth curve if you plot some of the numbers here. His communication is top notch and that's what you want in a head port if you ask me. I would never go with anyone that tries to get business by talking poorly about their competition. It's about what he can do for you and not how bad someone else would do compared to him. I could of had it done locally but deceided it was worth the shipping charges to know it was going to be done right. My .02

Thanks guys for all the posts!! I took all of the numbers I compiled and brought them into the shop owner guy. He still thinks they are bogus numbers, but I told him when I get them back we will flow them on his bench to prove him wrong. I'll give you a detailed description of his jaw dropping to the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your going to do that, have Lloyd send you the method of how they were flowed, as this will make a big difference. If your shop isn't flowing the same way they may be getting lower numbers ouit of everything...

Just FYI, you CAN'T compare flow #'s from one bench to another. However you can have him flow a set of his "good" heads in front of you and then flow yours for a comparison on his bench.

Lloyd's flow bench numbers to his flow bench numbers won't compare.

It would be like comparing 1/4 mile times between NJ and Phoenix.

I don't have the flow chart here as I'm not at home, but my #s are very similar to everyone else who posted here; peak flow #s were 277/191 @ .600. I agree with everyone here, Lloyd is a straight shooter and does really good port work; I'd also recommend him to anyone.

Well, I agree with what you stated, however you may get a representative comparo. It is no secret what oem heads flow on Lloyd's flow bench, or how he controls the variables. Based on numerous threads, what has been quoted, is consistant. You could compare numbers you get on an oem set (anywhere) and compare those #s to Lloyd's. Question now, is whether or not you consider Lloyd honest with the after numbers he claims, or the consistantcy/honestly of someone else. You could then compare another porter's 'after' #s to Lloyd's based on the 'B4' numbers the porter registered. No, they (numbers) would not be set in concrete, and this comparo wouldn't have scientific accuracy, but the comparo could be respectable enuf to determine a superior porter. Just something to consider.
