Anyone leave your Dust cover off?

Just wondering cause mine is all bent out of shape and was actually hitting the flywheel making nasty noises so I just took it off...Anyone else do the same and is it ok?

why dont you bend it back and put it on? Wouldnt that suck if a rock bounced up and nailed it?

Iv'e never had a problem with mine off, but on another car with it off I sucked up some baling twine (here in Oklahoma its very possible...lol) and it wrapped around the snout of the converter and ate the seal , nice leak.
