Anyone know the MPH shift points on an A4?
Thanks for the replies. I have 3.73's and am trying to get more power out of each gear. I also have an aftermarket cam, values, rockers, etc. I don't know how much those would effect the power bands for each gear? If so, I can list the mods that would help determine the best MPH to set the shifts at.

Only 2.73s and 3.23s were available stock on A4s from 93 to 02.

The tables posted by Brent are for a 3.23. Let me know if you need it for a 2.73.

tony here, any chance that you might know my shift points with
the 3.42 gears that i have.
great job tuning
thanks tony
It's actually pretty simple. It shows the upshift and downshift MPH values for different throttle levels. Look at the top of the table and you'll see the percentages for throttle opening.
The WOT MPH for 2.73 gears are as follows:
1-2 - 48 MPH
2-3 - 92 MPH
3-4 - 150 MPH
2-1 - 29 MPH
3-2 - 86 MPH
4-5 - 142 MPH
Calculated lt1_edit values for 3.42 gears:
34
70
120
30
64
113
3.73s:
31
64
110
28

That punch at 29 MPH is your downshift into first.
Let's take an example...
You start from a dead stop and drive about 5 MPH. Then you go wide open throttle. At 48 MPH / 5600-5700 RPM, it will shift into 2nd.
BUT... (looking at Brent's table)... say you only open the throttle about 1/4 (25%), then your car will shift into 2nd at 16 MPH....
