That is the best way to do it. Won't be as many fitment issues. I have pics if you want them. Just run it between the I-pipe and Y-pipe.

I had called thunder racing earlier and the guy told me that basically having the cat that far back would be ineffective. He said that its too far back and wouldn't get hot enough to be effective. The only thing I thought later would be to bolt a collector on each of the headers and weld cats right after the headers(?). Then continue on with the y-pipe. I actually don't need emissions, I just don't want that unburned fuel, old muscle car smell all the time. call me crazy

thats not true they will get plenty hot. it will just take time. id run one in the i pipe or at the end of the y pipe like mentioned. that should work well enough to remove the smell.

I take it that's a custom y-pipe? That thing is BEAUTIFUL! I would love to have a set-up like that, but I wouldn't have any ground clearance at all on the driver's side of my car...it sits too low.

Thanks. I bought the cats on Ebay and Mufflex custom made the pipe. After that I coated it at work. You should be able to find a local shop that can make one for you.

Thanks. I haven't lowered my car at all and I have about 4" of clearance at the collectors. I have yet to scrap but I am VERY careful. The pipe could have been tucked up tighter against the floor but I didn't want roasted feet or melted carpet. Mufflex did a good job of finding that happy medium for me.

Depending on the emissions... Just get LT's, a Y pipe, and one Cat. Get the other ones programmed out. Forget that cutout to, get a good catback.

For emissions you may just have to run an AIR tube on the cat. It all depends on how they test it.
